Mechanical aircraft enginneering jobs?

i have been in the royal navy now 8 years and been working on seakings for most of that time and wessex for a few months,i have gained a foundation degree through kingston university and would like to know if there are any decent jobs that i could apply for as i am looking to leave the forces to settle down but im on £33000 a year now an would like to know what the money is like too as i have a mortgage.

any advice would be a great help

    I was in the FAA for 10 years, I would advise you to move to an area near a major airport when discharged. Sorry to say, there are not very many aircraft jobs going round right now.

    If you could apply to BAE, BA, Virgin, Easy Jet and the others you could be in luck, the other thing to try is to look in the Sun on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the aircraft contracting jobs.

    The big money is to be made if you get an A & C licence, that takes time and a steady job. Good luck!
