1. idetical balls are rolled down two inclined planes of the same height but different inclines. do they reach the bottom at the same time? neglect friction and air resistance.

a. they reach the bottom at the same time

b. the one on the steeper plane reaches the bottom first

c. the one on the steeper plane reaches the bottom last

2. refer to question 1. do the two balls have the same speed upon reaching the bottom of the incline?

a. they have the same speed

b. the ball rolling down the steeper incline will have the highest speed.

c. the ball rolling down the steeper incline will have the slower speed.

one on steeper plane reaches first.

because the vertical component of accl.due to gravity gsinx (x is the angle b/n inclined plane and the horiz) increases with increase in angle.

ball on steeper incline will have highest speed.

If u have doubt roll a pencil on a cardboard with diff angles!
