This fall i'm majoring in MET 4 year degree at Purdue University calumet and going to join their ASE Club. When I graduate, will I have better job opportunities than that of an MET with only an accociates degree? Also, I heard automotive companies really like to see you were part of ASE and have that experience. Will this also help me in finding a good job and making the big bucks? I'm also going for a CAD certifcate. I just don't want to be at a disadvantage against Mechical Engineers and want have the same or greater job opportunities. Thanks if you could answer these few questions.

  1. If you are planning to work in factories or companies and not an engineering firm, I would suggest that not to waste money for getting CAD certificate, as for your speciality, it is sure you will be preffered than other mechanical engineers to work with Automotive companies
