Question:

Media Center's tv signal is not as good as on my regular TV?

My tv is right beside the Media Center PC. When I moved the house top antenna connection from the TV (which is perfectly clear) to the PC, the signal is much weaker (snowy and lines through some channels). I already set up the signal through Media Center as a regular antenna. Why is the signal so much worse on the pc?

  1. try using a signal booster. the only thing i can think is that the tuner card in your computer has a weaker decoder. a signal booster should compensate.

  2. I connected my computer to the TV with a Computer cable (VGA) and that helped with the signal.  But, I don't think there's a way to make Media Center look better than a direct connection from your antenna.
