The comment from you husband that you took your son out of the school yourselves muddies the waters somewhat, but there doesn't seem to have been very much in the way of follow-up questions that could have brought some clarity to the situation.

I think the paper owes it to you and the schoolto clarify the situation.

If you contact the papers involved directly you should be able to get them to print an amendment, or altenatively, do an interview with you to address the issues.
