Media accreditation deadline for Brasilia Open approaches – Volleyball news
According to the announced schedule of International Volleyball Governing Authority, March 31 is the last date for media accreditation of Brasilia Open.
The first SWATCH FIVB World Tour event is set to take place from April 15 to 22 in Brazil and the media authorization is supposed to be closed two weeks before the start of tournament. Hence, all the national and international Journalists and media professionals,
who wish to cover the campaign, are advised to submit their applications within specified time period.
In order to the ease the users, the Press Department of Federation International de Volleyball (FIVB) has especially launched a new online accreditation system of its official website. The FIVB actually introduced the online registration in 2011 when media
accreditation was required for FIVB World Cup in Japan.
The whole process of media authorisation was successfully conducted through online applications. This time again, the FIVB will be using same method for 2012 SWATCH FIVB World Tour events.
The FIVE will only consider the online applications and accredited media for 2012 Brasilia Open will have this unique opportunity to benefit from the FIVB press releases and other publications.
All the media information will be available on the online platform set by FIVB. The registration is the only one time thing. Once registered with FIVB Medial Club, the person would be allowed to apply for both volleyball and beach volleyball events.
The 2012 edition of Brasilia Open will feature both gender competitions. The women’s event will cover its length from April 15 to 20, while the men’s matches will start on April 17 and the tournament will conclude on April 22.
The federation capital of Brazil, Brasilia will have honour to host the first event of SWATCH FIVB World Tour for fourth consecutive year.
The upcoming edition of Brasilia Open is special in particular, as it will serve as a trial for the 2012 London Olympic Games. Therefore, it is expected that number of participants will soar up. The FIVB is hopeful about the success of its first beach volleyball
event in the season and invites the World Media to promote the campaign.
