Media extenders?

i have an xbox360 is it a media extender? or do i have to buy an exra bit of equipment? ....i understand it means i can watch videos downloaded to my pc and then sent via my wirless hub on my pc to my HD tv ..is this correct ?

If the connection is wired (ethernet cable) you are ready to go. For wireless, you ned to buy the xbox360 wireless adaptor.
