Media make it sound like shorter people are ugly? im getting badly affected in scool?

im only 5 foot 2 and a half so just bcus of my height the taller girls at my school look down on me, they always treated the most beautiful and i hate it, i think this is all on the influence from media, i mean why do only tall girls get cast for modeling, i dot understand, the'rs tons of short girls too, and wer left being made fun of just becus wer short. i no most people arnt aware but this is happening in all scools, shorter girls r just not cconsidered pretty anymore, and know beuty has become such a big thing that its all that matters in ur scool, yeh education is important but if u have the looks u get everything, im not looking forward to going bac to scool just cus im shorter and maybe not as pretty as everybody else people wont hang around with me

im sorry i sound a bit messed up but i think media is just ruining my life, we have to look a certain way, thanks to television, we hav to act a certain way, everything has just gone messed for me, and not to mention my 7 year old brother, i mean little kids are know also getting affected.

its horrible, how are we going to stop this?

um.. short girls rock! im 5'2 too! and i have a bf thats 5"10 were 15 btw yea alot of guys loveeee short girls more then tall girls i promise ..ppl that care about ur height arent ur true friends thats just wrong!!! its good for girls to be like that height

You can't stop it.  You just have to go with it.  I'm short too (5' 3"), so is my sister.  We have just lived with it.  You can't change it, so why let it bother you so much.  If you want to be a model go for it, there are some people out there that don't care how tall you are, just how you look.  Most guys had rather have a small girlfriend, than a tall one. They don't want to have to get on their tip toes to kiss a girl.  In some ways you have an advantage over the tall girls.  You just have to accept yourself and be proud of it.  I did, so I'm sure you can too.

The Media is stupid. I wish they would just look at their work &think to themselves, "Why are we doing this &what is the purpose?". At my school, height doesn't really seem to be an issue of attractiveness, I'm in high school. I'm 5 foot &1/2, I mean, some days I wish I was taller, but it doesn't really bother me so much. Would your rather be short &beautiful or tall &ugly as h**l? If you really feel unconfident about your height, wear some shoes that will enhance your height. I think you shouldn't worry about your height.

no one said short girls are less attractive. most guys (according to my dad) would rather be with shorter girls because tall girls intimidate them.

models are usually tall and skinny because they are basically walking clothes hangers. clothes can be showcased better when you're tall and not curvy.

if you want to appear taller, wear heels and walk with your shoulders back and your head up.
