Media player, when i go to look at movie dvd i cannot cause it says?

error,no decoder or something, how do i correct this. also is there a way to dub from a movie that says 'cannot duplicate cause its copyright, although its a movie my cous created and i wanted to send my friend a copy? please be detailed, thanks

the easiest solution is download vlc (it is a free and small app that has most of the popular codecs built in), if you don't know much about your computer I would suggest that.
