Media talking heads got it wrong?

The media keeps stating that Sarah Palin was chosen to siphon Hilliary votes away from Obama. This is completely wrong. Palin was chosen to shore up the Republican base, get the NRA vote, get the Bible Belt vote, get the soccer mom vote, and attract any independent voters that have tried to balance a job and family. Do you feel this is a correct assessment or if not why not?

From what I've read she is not very popular among republicans in Alaska so I would question that but the rest sounds right.  however she might well get some Hillary independents as well

Eventually thinking democrat supporters fall away from their doom and gloom politics and support those who put the country first.

What is their strongest base and who gets out that vote?

Uneducated kids and the inner city blacks who still buy the concept of a free handout if democrats are in power.
