Mediate And The Ryder Cup?

Ok boys and girls. Do you think Paul Azinger will give the nod to Rocco for the Ryder Cup Team.

Rocco is a gritty player that does not quit.  It will depend on the rest of the year and Rocco's back as he has had back problems for over 10 years now.  I would personally love to see him on the team but Azinger needs to pick the best players playing when the Ryder Cup starts.

I would not pick a 45 year old.  Yet with Tiger just announced as out for this season, there is a vacancy and the sentiment would support picking Mediate.  Given Zingers own medical history, I am almost sure he will pick Mediate. I question whether there are any great athletes, ex-Woods, on the pro tour.  Most of them look like physical wrecks.

I think he needs to take him.  The americans in past years have shown no heart whatsoever, and Rocco brings heart and grit.  I also think it would help bring the fans out who gained a ton of respect for Rocco.

He might, but I don't think so.  Rocco hadn't won anything for about six years, and he still hasn't.  He played great in the Open don't get me wrong, but the Open requires mainly that you stay out of trouble.  The Ryder cup is a different animal, all match play and the strategies are much different playing foursomes and fourball matches.
