  1. i think the gross amount of income is 2500 in texas.

for the house hold, but that is for kids to get it.  check with your local office.

  2. If you are pregnant and have no insurance you will probably qualify for Medicaid.  I live in Texas.  When I was pregnant with my second child we had no insurance.  My doctors office encouraged me to apply for medicaid.  I hadn't applied because we made too much money to qualify for food stamps or medicaid.  But the income requirements for pregnant women are higher than for regular medicaid.  The pregnancy medicaid will cover all of your prenatal care the delivery and up to your 6 week postpartum checkup.  It will cover the baby until his/her first birthday.  You should apply for it, you will probably be able to get it.  You might qualify for WIC too.  The income requirements for WIC aren't as low as for food stamps.  Good luck.

  3. Hello, I am also in Texas. Please do apply for Medicaid , all they can say is no. They also have a fairly new program out for Pregnant women whom make too much to qualify for State Medicaid, but they will qualify for CHIPS Parenatal. I have included links for you, it will give you anything and everything you need to know. Also remember the unborn child counts already as a family member. Mom counts for 2.

  4. yes you must meet the income requirements

  5. I live in Texas and do not have insurance. I have been denied for medicaid because of my income so it just depends on what you make and how many there are in your household. You can reapply further along in your pregnancy after you have paid some of the medical cost they will apply that toward the formula they have that tells if you are eligible or not. Also check with your Dr and the hospital for what they charge self pay patients and if they will do a payment program. That is what I am having to do. Otherwise I don't know how I will pay for it all.
