Question:

Medical Advice About A Headache?

My brother has been sick for the past 2 days. Usually he fakes it just to get out of school, but he's not this time. He said he's been having the worst headache on the RIGHT side for the last 2 days. He is also dizzy. I asked him if the LEFT side of his body felt numb (thinking it may be a minor stroke?) and he said no. My mom took him to the doctor Wednesday and the doctor said he probably has a migraine or bad allergies. He is eating regularly and is talking fine. I am just concerned something may be wrong if it is just the right side of his head that hurts. Doe's anyone know what could be wrong with him? Should we take him to the doctor again?

  1. Headaches don't have to be on both sides.  It is common to have pain in one side of the head.  If the doctor thinks it's just migraines or headaches, just follow the instructions and see if it helps.  If he has found no relief by Monday he should see his doctor again.  There's no need to take him in right away unless his symptoms become worse or he gets new symptoms.
