Medical Billing & Insurance Coding Programs?

Question

I'm considering going back to school in the next few months, does anyone know where I can get detailed information on medical biller & coder? I have looked into some colleges & spoken with college counselors, but would like more. Any suggestion would be much appreciated. Have a good day :o)

They have a list of accredited programs. I would suggest attending a program at a community college that is accredited by AHIMA so that you are eligible to sit for the RHIT examination. Many places will not hire you to do coding without this certification, and in the near future, many places will start going by that rule as well. Getting the proper education so you can be certified to take the RHIT examination is pretty much vital nowadays.

Otherwise, you'll have trouble finding a job.
