Medical Examination???

ok well I started this new job at a company and they have life insurance for their employees, now after a month, I got a letter for them telling me to go to their approved centre and give a "medical examination" Now heres the bad part, I've been smoking Hash almost regualarly for the past 3 years, so now I am wondering if i will get caught? and also what kind of tests do life insurance companies take? Plzz help me

well the good part is whatever the result of the test, it's confidential and they can't share it with the company you work for.  You're employer can do a drug test, but they can't obtain medical records from a secondary source (call your senator and let him know how much you appreciate that privacy law).  If the death benefit of your life insurance is over $100,000 you'll probably have to give urine and blood, otherwise it should be a swab test.  Most companies consider pot the same as tobacco so you should be good anyways.

If they do a blood test it will show up. You can call them and ask what kind of test will they be doing. Some companies only do a oral swap for nicotine. You can also quit for a week and your blood would be clean and since it is not addictive you should not have a problem.
