Medical Marijuana Recomendation to work in Dispensary?

I was going to apply to work at a Medical Marijuana Dispensary as a public safety officer but on the job description it said to work in a dispensary I need a Medical Marijuana recommendation, How would I go about obtaining this recommendation? Its in California.

Any kind of harmful drug is usually unacceptable.  LSD, Brown sugar, cocaine, or any narcotics should be avoided. It seems the job is not safe.

Depending on where you are, find a doctor who gives out prescriptions, and go in with a reason you need it. In California, you can get a recommendation for anything from PMS to terminal cancer. Pretty much what you need to do is explain to the doctor your problem and convince them that medical marijuana will provide you with a better quality of life.

For example, if you go in for insomnia like the previous poster suggested, explain that you're not comfortable with taking pharmaceutical drugs (drugs prescribed for insomnia are usually benzos, which can be pretty harmful and addictive or anti depressants which will mess with your brain chemistry).

You go to a prescribing doctor and tell them your ailment (like insomnia).  It's as simple as that, they're not going to argue w/ you.
