  1. Marie is right: there are hundreds of magazines and journals in biology and medicine. You would not have enough time in a week to read all the stuff that is published. And, that's just 'generalist' journals (e.g. JAMA, NEJM, Lancet). Once you get to the 'specialist' journals, you can even add more to that total.

I work in virology (study of viruses) and alone I subscribe to 8-virus specific journals, along with 3-generalist journals on infectious diseases.

Yes, I do have quite a bit to read.....

  2. There are dozens.  Hundreds.  Thousands, even.  There's a journal for everything, if you only look for it.  *g*

What are you looking for?  The kind of journal that is published for medical or scientific professionals, or the kinds of magazines published more for interested laymen or the general public?  If you're interested in the former, the New England Journal of Medicine or Lancet might be a good place to start for medicine.  But every specialty has their own journals.  I'm sure it's the same for biology, though I'm less familiar with theirs.

A simple request of your local librarian will give you more reading material than you can get through in a lifetime.
