Question:

Medical Whilst At School-Drop & Cough?

by  |  earlier

When I was in the final year at school the boys were called in for a medical.

The rumour going round the classrooms was that you had to cough and drop. (

I know it should be drop and cough but that was what it was called then)

When I was called for the medical all the classmates shouted cough and drop.

Anyhow I do not recall me having to do this.

A few years later I had to have a medical. This time I did have to cough-the doctor put his hand over my pubic area and asked me to cough!

What is the purpose of doing this? Does it tell anyone in the medical profession something about my health?

Thank you for your attention

  1. The test is being done to see if you have an inguinal hernia - that is an imperfection in the wall of the groin which allows some of your internal organs to protrude (even if only slightly) when under strain (hence the cough to put a slight strain on your diaphragm and abdominal muscles).  If left untreated a hernia can cause serious problems later in life.

A good and complete medical doesn't only check the heart and lungs, but all the organs it is possible to easily check.  Your p***s should have been examined to ensure you had no infection and didn't suffer from phimosis.  Your testicles should have been checked for proper descent and that they were free of odd lumps which could have been cancerous.

  2. its checking for the sligh drop the testicles make when u cough to see if you have a hernia if you had a hernia it wouldent drop the muscles all constricted and junk

  3. There are 2 reasons your nether regions might be examined, to check your testicles are both in the s*****m and, the cough bit, to exclude hernias, which bulge when you increase the intra-abdominal pressure by coughing.

  4. it's just a check for hernia's and in school boy's to embarrass

  5. its to check to see if you have or have had an hernia,

  6. I am sorry to say this but what happened to you is sexual abuse. There is absolutely NO reason for any dr to be feeling your p***s and no reason for them to even be ogling it. To check your chest they use a stethoscope... and its not connected to your genitals.
