Medical jargon: Reno 911 patrol?

I am familiar with the show. That's why my guess that it was a slip up. It might just be jargon that is unique to this hospital but I doubt it.

Its not a term used in the medical field.  Like the first person said, its most likey an inside joke to keep everyone in a good mood.

Sounds like an inside joke amongst the staff.  Reno 911 is a funny show that is in syndication right now.
