Medical mission in the Dominican Republic?

I'm going on a medical mission in the Dominican Republic. What should I know??

The FIRST thing you need to know is SPANISH... they don't talk too much AmeriKan once you get out of Santo Domingo..

Otherwise... be EXTREMELY clean with everything you do... wash your hands any time you touch anything and especially when you go to the toilet.  Don't walk around with bare feet and don't walk around alone at night.
