Medical office administrators/billers/coders, etc?

I'm studying to be a medical secretary and I have an interviewing project for one of my classes. I'm having a hard time finding people to interview so I was wanting to see if I could get a few people from here to help me out. I need your name and the place you work. if you aren't comfortable giving your last name I understand. Thanks!

1. What is your name, position, and where you work?

2. What type of training or education did you have prior to employment?

3. If you had schooling, how well did it help prepare you for this position?

4.What other types of jobs have you held?

5. Did any of those jobs help prepare you or contribute to your skills?

6. How hard was it for you to find a job?

7. What are your thoughts and advice for searching for a job?

8. Are you credentialed?

9. How important is it to be credentialed?

10. If you weren't what you are now, what other job position would you like?

11. Are you planning a job change?

12. Is your field of study what you expected it to be?

13. How many hours a week do you work?

14. What was your starting pay and how far can you go?

You don't have to answer all of these questions. I just need some help. The offices I have called are so busy right now, it's hard to get someone that will let you come and interview them on such short notice. Our teacher gave us a week to get 5 interviews.

Thanks!

  1. Just wondered if you have a teaching hospital near you?  By that, I mean a hospital that is aligned with a university that instructs residents, interns, nurses, etc?  They are usually cooperative if you go through their public affairs office to arrange for an interview.

    Wish you good luck.
