  1. Im 13 and im an ameateur fighter.

If you wear braces you gotta have a license or just a signature saying you can fight. Also, before the fight (2 hours or so before) the ring doctor will check you up, and your good!

  2. You will need a full physical and a consent form signed by a doctor.  Do not hide any illnesses or medical problems.

I saw a young man about 10 years ago boxing on an amateur card.  He had a physical completed by a physician at his university and he did not dislcose that he had epilepsy.  He went into an epileptic seizure in the middle of the bout.  What saved him was that there was a trainer there who was a full time anestheisologist.  When the ringside physicians were going to break his jaw to prevent him from swallowing his tongue, the anesthesiologist got into the ring and applied a pressure point to get his jaw to release.

So be safe.  AND GOOD LUCK!!!

  3. Well, my brother had to have a physical.
