Question:

Medicinal Marijuana Card and parents?

Hi, I'm 18 and I plan on applying for a card. With stress from school and work, I find medicinal marijuana very helpful in treating my insomnia. The one thing is, my parents have never approved of marijuana, so would they ever be able to find out if I had a card? From my knowledge, initially only my doctor and I would know about this.

Anyone care to fill me in? Thanks,

  1. You're an adult, and doctor patient confidentiality would prevent your doctor from saying anything to anybody.  They'd only know if you told them.

  2. If you actually receive a medicinal marijuana card for this (insomnia), let me know when and where; I'll hop the next jet...

But seriously, I doubt insomnia is considered on a par with chemotherapy, chronic wasting, glaucoma, etc.

In short, don't get your hopes up...
