Meditation is the key?

Honest to god,i learned how to meditate recently and its one of the best things ive ever done.Only a few days ago,i was depressed and sick of my life.I had been feeling like this for a long time until sombody taught me how to meditate and to my amazement all the negative thoughts i was having have been compressed into possitive thoughts and i dont feel depressed at all now.As with many great things people are reluctant to try it because they believe that there is better ways to solve the problem,the solution to these problems has been around for thousands of years.Take yoga for example allot of people wont try it because it looks a bit silly and they belive they can get a magic pill to do the work for them.I tried yoga and it made my body feel fantastic after only a 30 minute session.Now i know how to make my body feel fantastic and now i know how to open my mind,my mind and body become one.My question is this,does anybody know any advanced levels of meditation? Ive only learned the basic teachings like blocking thoughts and to let them flow around my mind like a river into a puddle.

  1. Think on this. Why would The Supreme Being have a small g? Surely it should be God? Honest to- I don't know. Talk about running before a person can walk. Meditation. Try Education.

  4. I am really happy for you. Thanks for sharing. Yes meditation and yoga and excellent practices. Keep learning and exploring. Do searches online and read books (books have been my best source of knowledge and inspiration) and u r bound to come across something/someone that will insprie u to learn something new and reach higher. Keep practising. I think it's great to have a simple regimen going. That by itself grounds you so well.

      

  5. The more you practise meditation, the more advanced you become in terms of the mental states achievable. The key is to go with the flow, not try and enforce any particular idea, or try to repeat any particular experience. Some discipline is necessary, but mainly the mind does the work itself. The ways and means are inside you, and I suspect they are different for every individual.

    Practice makes perfect. :-)

  7. If  there is the discovery of meditation there is the discovery there is no 'I', no 'Me', no 'Self - there is only what is as psychovisual sensation mind-of-the-out-there. This is taking place as an affect of out there ripples of electromagnetic affecting relentless emergence as brian blind cell activity affected. This consciousness is not 'your' consciousness but an attribute of human existence.  

  8. 8 Get beyond just meditating. Find the mantra to chant that encompasses every apsect of reality and learn control of your mind specifics.

  10. Yoga is basically about disciplining mind and body.  There's nothing silly about it.  Energy released is unbelievable...something to be experienced to believe.  And there's nothing religious about it as many people try to tell others and stop them from practicing it.  

    You can try Vipassana for advanced meditation!
