Are there any major differences? I love chicken tawook and I was told it was lebanese, then I was told it was lebanese?

How do I know what's what?

Anyways chicken tawook? Im assuming that is lebanese because I am persian and know that is not a persian recipe. The similarities are very strong between middle eastern countries and mediterranean countries however the spices used in dishes are different.
