Question:

Medium Bindings on a recommended small bindings board. Am I ok?

I have just bought a Burton T6 152 (it is being shipped currently). I have Burton 2008 Co2s in medium. On the Burton website they say it fits small bindings. As far as I know, the bolting from board to bindings is the same irrelevant of binding size, but am I cutting a thin line? :)

  1. The best case is if your bindings edges don't oversize your board, otherwise it will highly interact with snow surface. And your  boots in bindings on the board should oversize the board edges from 0.5 to 1 cm (if more than 1 cm you will touch the surface, if less then 0.5 it'll hard to control board).

  2. as long as your feet fit your ok.  you don't want them hanging off.

  3. hope your abilitiy level is on par w/the set up......

sorry, but questions like these usually come from amateurs b/c people who ride usually know their sh*t

  4. Yo dude.,   So your getting a T6. Thats a nice pig stick dude<  You will be just fine with the medium bindings on the 152 t6.    Thats a pricy setup, but frickin primo.    The only problem you MIGHT MIGHT run into is some toe drag, but most likly you will be fine. Done just bind the bindings right to your deck b/c you could void the return policy, line em up and make sure your not gonna have toe or heel drag, if not then your straight with a Sick SICK setup., good luck dude, happy shredding

  5. I would almost answer the question with another question... why did you choose to buy a 152 T6?  unless you are rather light or or are short with a high ability level I would recommend a board that might better fit your riding needs. The old "the board needs to be around chin height" measurement is out the window. You need to consider a few factors, your weight, height, ability level and what type of riding you wish to do with the board. The T6 is very torsionally stiff and softer tip to tail. It is best suited to a very aggressive rider in any riding situation. If you want to use the board for more park/rail riding you might want to reconsider your purchase. Also with a medium binding you will more than likely have drag not so much from your toe but rather the binding. You might want to consider a riser system to place under your binding. Try the Palmer Plates or the Burton Riser. Also make sure you are centered laterally across the board, the biggest mistake most snowboarders make is not centering their bindings and using forward lien.
