I am planning on going to Paris this October with my husband, does anyone know of some good medium priced hotels in close in Paris? We'd like a nice, decent place, but not crazy expensive or anything and somewhere that is in a decent location. Thank you!

  1. Hotel Tiquetonne.  --GREAT location, 50 Euros a night for two people...only downside is midnight curfew. Our room was decent sized with a recently remodeled bathroom.  I'd definitely stay there again!

  2. I was in the ''hotel de la place des alpes'' in paris two weeks ago, it's really tiny but clean and their breakfast is a typical frenc one... just great... Its foud at place d'italie, 300 mt from the metro... and the couple who rents the place are really 'sympa'.

    Hope this can help you...

  3. Go to Hotel Ibis tour effiel in Cambronne.

Eiffel tower is 10-15 minutes walk from this hotel.

Cambronne station is just in front of hotel.

    Good locality.

around 110 Euros per day in weekdays.

79 Euros per day in weekedns !!

    good hotel indeed.

  4. Your best bet is to do a city-wide quote for the days you're going to be there, then sort the available results by price -- that way you can see what's available, and see which are in your price range.

You can do a good city-wide quote here:

Then, when you've gotten a look at ones that interest you, check them out over at tripadvisor.com.  Read reviews, decide on one that is the perfect match, then go back and  book it online!

    Good luck...and have fun!

  5. In Paris you can find a nice and cheap hotel. In the quartier latin there is cheap hotels, near the metro, but near champ elysees, rue de Berri, rue de Anglaterre,Rue Washington there is nice hotels in a very good location, the best for about 80 or 100 euros per night.

  6. look for the hotel kyriad chain or else forthe 'etape'(?) chain.  I know kyriad is in paris. or they were last time I was there in 2003

  7. Paris has many nice mid range hotels in the center if you are open to staying in a hotel without mini-bars, breakfast buffets, cable TV, room service and, sometimes, elevators.

The Hotel de Nesle is very nice, a bit quirky, and well located in the 6trh arrondissemnent only a few steps from the Seine. http://www.hoteldenesleparis.com/

The Hotel St. Andre des Artes is funky, charming and in a 17th century building. Its also in the 6th just over the boundry with the 5th (Latin Quarter) and my personal favorite.
