  1. I'm a tween but my parents know all about med school (docs:)

They said they had no free time it was always work, work, work!!

  2. Definitely time consuming! Exams/Finals are twice as harder but it depends on your professor, sometimes they're nice and stay a bit after to help you out. Good luck!

  3. Ok- a full load in College is considered to be about 16 credit hours a semester.

Med Schools list clock hours, but they also rate courses in credit hours for non-Medical types- working on a Masters in Anatomy, etc.  In my school, we averaged 48 credit hours a semester for the first 2 years.

It is considered impossible to work and attend Medical School. It really is a full time job, and then some.  500 page reading assignments a night, on material not covered in the lectures (8 hours worth) that day.  Hard to find any free time.

  4. i am a second year and it is time consuming. you wouldnt have time for a job and most of your time is spent reading and studying. some schools have school all day 9-5 and take about 5 classes at a time. at mine UTMB in texas we go half days and take one class at a time (anywhere from 6-10 weeks) but it is managable. I am married and have a son and I manage to get it all done
