  1. I'm going there now BEFORE I see this video.

Keep in mind that not every "Documentary" is actaully honest. Many have been proven to be full of lies just to create a sensation. Not saying that this one is necessarily, just don't be too quick to judge based on a documentary!!!

  2. I've been a vegetarian for about 10 years now, but I still don't trust anything PETA says.  They seem extremist to me, and I've heard a lot over the years about them lying or exaggerating their information.  So I guess my reaction was being glad I live in Canada, where our animal-cruelty laws are better, but I also expect that video had a lot of isolated incidents, and not standard practices.

But that in no way means you shouldn't become a vegetarian or a vegan, and I applaud you for trying.  Animal-cruelty aside (and it is cruel, just maybe not as cruel as PETA says), there are still health and environmental reasons to give up meat.

And I just have to say, if you do want to go vegan, it'll be nearly impossible to go straight from a meat-eater to a vegan, so if you're not a vegetarian already, that should be your first step, and you can work up to being a vegan.  Otherwise, it's quite unlikely the veganism will 'stick'.

  3. LOL.  When I saw the video of "Meet Your Meat" I could not eat meat for a couple of days...  I did however just eat canned tuna fish and made sandwiches...  I also thought about going vegan but, our bodies really need to protein and we can't get that by just eating vegetables...

I did however choose wiser in eating meat.  I try to eat organic eggs and chicken whenever I buy meat at the store.  I avoided eating at KFC and Burgers at McDonalds and fast foods because they used those types of meats.

The only burger place I go to now is In N Out Burger because they use beef that have no antibiotics and 100% fresh.  Just choose wisely Good Luck

  4. yeah, all industrial meat is like that.

  6. Don't watch it anymore.

  7. Okay those videos make me cringe and if you want to see more action, check out the P.E.T.A. website. Those cruel mother f*ckers need to stop testing out make-up and hair-dye on poor innocent animals. I am totally against animal cruelty and for animal rights. Those videos are super tragic...

  8. Pass me a drumstick, please.

  9. This kind of treatment is certainly intolerable, but there are slaughterhouses and companies that do their best to treat and slaughter animals humanely.  Read about Temple Grandin http://www.templegrandin.com/templehome.... and the work she has done with a number of companies (including fast food chains) to facilitate the more human treatment of consumed livestock.

  10. www.meat.org

  11. It might be cruel, but it is nature. Survival of the fittest.

  12. Haven't seen them but, thanks for going vegan. That just leaves more meat for me too eat.

  13. it was nasty
