Meeting On The Other Side?

I remember seeing a quote once about two people going to opposite ends of the earth and then meeting up on the other side (or something like that. I don't remember exactly.) but can't find it again. Does that sound familiar to anybody?

In my mind, it has always been associated with the other side of life, ie. the hereafter.

In your context, it makes sense as it implies that these two will not have another chance to meet on this earth.
