Question:

Meeting Royalty?

Is there any way you can get to meet royalty if you're just an average person? I mean other than just a stroke of luck.

It would be fun and exciting and unless you have a friend of a friend of a friend I've never heard of anyone being able to meet Kings, Queens, Princes or Princesses.

  1. No. Chances are very slim unless you happen to be somewhere (like Ascot) that they happen to be. Even then, they have a whole retinue of servants whose job it is to keep us curious folk from getting too close. When people do get to meet them at official banquets, etc. they have to receive lessons in protocol first. Us common folk will have to be content to view them from afar (like in People Magazine).

  2. yes, they often have garden parties at Buckingham palace and the average "joe" gets to meet them, although you do get a LONG list of what you can and can not do.........

My parents have been to a couple over the years and I rode horses with Princess Anne years ago..........[now that's a real person IMO]

    regards

  3. Maybe doing charity in a big organization ;) That is, if you are into that.

    Otherwise, it's a crapshoot.

  4. there aren't too many more royal than me happy valentines day from me cupid actually

  5. You can try writing to them....

  6. I've met the Queen and Prince Philip. I went to a reception at St James' Palace (IIFC) some years ago with our local twinning association. I'm just a normal person!

  7. If you are from the UK the easiest way to meet and shake hands with Royalty is to complete the gold duke of Edinburghs award

(you get to shake hands with Prince Phillip in either Bukingham Palace or Holyrood House)
