I'm going to Paris over next Easter Break for 2 weeks with my school. I'll be 17 and my Friends and I are all really excited to go. We want to have fun and are not looking for any long term relationship nor anyserious action. We are Americans and we were wondering how we can make ourselves more attractive to French men, how we should flirt with them, and just how we can hang out with some cute French guys for the weekend. My friends and I are all cute ourselves but aren't really S****y or made up so what advice could you give. Also, I personally am a little thick so will French guys go for that and how can I make myself more attractive to them?

  1. loiter around busy bars with your cutest friends and smoke cigarettes. even better -- ask a cute guy for that cigarette (or a lighter). even if you're just standing around with friends drinking a beer on the streets (which is illegal, by the way, but no one cares if it's a busy party area and you're a pretty american girl), guys are bound to approach you. what turns out being the issue is making sure you know how to turn down the guys who you do not want to talk to -- because there will be a lot of them, and the majority probably won't be up to your standards (just wait -- someone really attractive will come along soon enough).

  2. You have to exercise the same discretion and caution anywhere in the world.  France is not a country free of crime.  If you wouldn't get drunk in NY or LA, you shouldn't get drunk in Paris (or you might end up doing things or having things done to you that might not be safe.).  One word of advice-- you can smile or laugh spontaneously, but women who have a "painted on" smile might be seen as dumb or S****y.

  3. well, i dont know if i can give you some good advices, cause i'm a 23th yr old dinosaur.

what usually french ppl "dislike" with American girls is what make them too "picturesque" : the makeup (often they have too much, especially foundation cream) and the blonde straight hair.

anyway, french men are first men... so be as you be.

perhaps the biggest problem cd be the language but every french schoolboy learned english... many of them dont stilll speak fluently.

in the end abt you... dont be afraid, that shd be ok...

  4. I don't think I'm qualified to gove you specific advice but I suggest you might want to browse the videos on the Paris Zoom TV website. ( http://www.paris-zoom.com/map.asp )

You can see what people are wearing and how people are carrying themselves. Maybe by doing that you can get some clues as to how you might want to dress and act. Chances are you'd be better able to evaluate these sort of things for yourself than I could do for you.

  5. Be friendly but not sleazy. Don't flirt too hard. Be genuinely interested in your trip- show appreciation for their culture, be respectful of the way things are done there.

My experience in Europe has been that the men there love ALL types of women, not just the scrawny ones.
