Meeting new vocal coach thurs. what songs should i sing?

She'd like me to prepare 2 songs to sing to her.

my voice sounds best in songs like mandy moore's "candy" lol i know

so 10 points for person to give me song to sing that are sorta like that :) please help!

I cant really think of specific songs, but i can help you with some guide lines.

pick a song that shows her what level you are at. don't pick a song that is really hard or really easy. she wants something to judge what you already know, so that she can teach you better.

pick something that covers your full range too (notes wise that is, like c to b or whatever your range maybe). if you show her all that you can do, then she can be more aware of it and can know to teach you what you cannot yet do.

also, does she know that you are "pop" music orientated?

if you're not sure, you might want to give her a heads up so she doesn't expect something classical.

Pick a song that you know that you have studies before! You don't have to impress her just show her what level  you are at!
