Question:

Meeting people in your dreams?

I had this dream a while ago,

about a guy I used to like, Tony, and his friend Greg.

I didn't know Greg, but I had heard about him and saw him around school and stuff.

In the dream I said hi to Tony, but he ignored me, and Greg said hi to me when he didn't even now me.

I stopped liking Tony not too long after (had nothing to do with the dream),

and than I suddenly met Greg and got to know him.

Now I like Greg.

Was my dream trying to tell me something about the future?

And what does it mean when we dream about people before we've even met them,

even though we've seen them but don't really know them,

if you get what i mean.

  1. dream is the expression of the past events. it don't tell you about the future. that is a superstitious belief. imagine all the faces that your mind encounters everyday. they are the people in your dreams.

  2. Our dreams can reveal aspects of people's behaviour in a way that conciously would be impossible - it may well be the fact that subconciously you realised this fellow Greg was generally a more amiable and respectable chap than Tony.

At least, that would be a possibility - the workings of the mind are too complex (for me) to be certain.
