Meeting the girl friends dad for the first time. ?

My girfiend is 18 and I'm 25 I have to meet her dad for the first time. He dosn't know were dating but hates me cause I am so much older.

Be polite. Dress nicely. (Cover up all the tattoos if you have any).

The father is going to grill you. Be ready to tell him about yourself, your family, your parents, your job (including how much money you make).

Don't call him by the first name. He is Mr. Jones, to you.

I assume you're going to go for dinner at their house--don't stuff yourself. Be yourself, but do try to impress him. She is his daughter after all.

No stupid jokes. Actually, leave jokes at home. When you speak to him, make sure you look at him.

Don't chew gum like a cow. A mint is more appropriate. Turn off your cell phone.

Remember to take a DEEP breath before you knock on the door.

Shake his hand, smile, don't be all over her, don't kiss her unless you think it's okay, try not be bring up anything that shouldn't be brought up, talk about your job and your education, and try to make a good leaving impression [:

My cousin was 26 when he started dating his ex girl who was 19 at the time. Her father didn't like it either but once he met my cousin and saw he was a nice guy he didn't mind as much. They're broke up but are still friends, her parents still invite him over and stuff. Just be yourself he should like you.
