Meeting with manager??

Question

My husband was given a low rating this year which affects many things starting form income. He was d**n sure he worked better than ever. He has proofs. But when asked the manger apologized,said that was by mistake. But not doing any corrective measures for that. My husband tried following up,asked politely to do the changes and correct.It took almost 45 days till now no solution for him.( positive or negative answer) He tried to set up meeting manager never shows up. keeps postponing.Please give all your inputs on what he should do to get things done.Even if he looks for another job,the other companies looks for last rating which is the lowest of all. He doesn't deserve this. So how can i help him? this issue affects him a lot. hecouldn't digest it.

Based on your info--it seems like a good time to look for another job. Sometimes there are things going on "behind the scenes" that a person has no control over. Accept it and move on to the next step. Maybe the company needs to downsize and he was the last one hired. Maybe there is a personality clash, etc. etc. Who knows? But use your energy to help him move on and forward.

Tell your husband to talk to HR.

Tell him to be prepared to show the proofs he has and to be sure to conduct himself in a professional and courteous manner.  (It is very easy to lose your temper when you know you are being given a raw deal and also very non-productive.)  

HR will probably either schedule a meeting with him and his manager or talk to him first and then talk to his manager later.
