Mega Millions lottery question?

If you get just the mega ball number does that pay out anything? I'm not too familiar w/this lottery. My guess is you need all 6 numbers but just want to double check. Thanks

Yes you do get something for Mega ball by itself.  Here's the info (from the previous draw):

Yes, it pays $2. If you megaplied it, then it would pay $2 X's the megaplier. For tonight, the megaplier was 3, so if you paid the extra dollar then you win $6 instead of $2.
