Megalala and Dunhoy likely to face-off in the Free Entry At Betdaq Members Handicap
Free Entry At Betdaq Members Handicap will take place at Kempton on 29th February, 2012. The 6 runners will be competing for a purse of £4,075 across a distance of 1 mile and 2 furlongs.
The line-up goes as follows:
Sinfonico,
Kakapuka,
Dunhoy,
Sakhee’s Pearl,
Megalala, and
Ya Hafed.
Megalala, son of Petardia, out of Avionne, started the year with an impressive race. Trained by John Bridger, the 11-year-gelding has been in top form.
He finished in third place, in the Betdaq Multiples Handicap, at Kempton, on 11th January, 2012. He was defeated by race favourite Nibani and second place holder Focail Maith.
He succeeded on 1st February, 2012, as he defeated Focail Maith by ¾ lengths, in the Betdaq Multiples Handicap, at Kempton.
Sakhee’s Pearl trained by Jo Crowley falls under the ownership of The Peregrina Partnership.
The 6-year-old mare has yet to compete in 2012 but she finished 2011 with an impressive race.
The daughter of Sakhee, out of Grey Pearl, defeated Choral Festival by ¾ lengths along with 10 other competitors, in the Bet And Watch At Bluesq.com Handicap,  at Kempton, on 20th December, 2011.
This was a remarkable improvement as she finished in 4th place in the race before that.  She was defeated by three other runners in the Back Or Lay At Betdaq.com Handicap, at Kempton, on 23rd November, 2011.
Dunhoy, son of Goodricke, out of Belle Of The Blues, finished in 9th place, in the Mickey Flynn’s American Pool Hall Handicap, at Newmarket, on 13th August, 2011.
Under the supervision of his trainer, Tony Newcombe, the 4-year-old gelding has shown remarkable improvement.
He finished as a runner-up in his seasonal debut, defeated by George Guru  by 1 ¼ lengths, in the Williamhill.com Handicap, at Kempton, on 11th February, 2012.
Ya Hafed, son of Haafhd, out of Rule Britannia, did not do well in his last race as he finished 8th in a line-up of 9 runners but his performance before that showed promise.
He finished as a runner-up in the Eastwellmanor.co.uk Juvenile Maiden Hurdle, at Folkestone, on 17th January, 2012, where he was defeated by race favourite, One Lucky Lady.
Based on the betting patterns, it looks like Megalala and
Dunhoy will take the lead. They are immensely popular among the punters and it is predicted that these two are likely to steal the race from the other competitors.
They are attracting roughly the amount of bets but it depends on luck as to which of these will claim victory.
The contender who is likely to finish after them is Sakhee’s Pearl.
