The Newcastle United youngster is having a hard time breaking into Alan Pardew’s first-team and is hopeful of making a return to France in the upcoming winter transfer window in order to get more game-time
These days, many French speaking players are wearing the colours of English Premier League side Newcastle United. The likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gabriel-Obertan-c14324 all are essential components of the Magpies.
However, there is one French-born player who has not been able to make a breakthrough in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alan-c4244 Pardew’s senior side. Young Frenchman, Mehdi Abeid signed a five-year contract with the English side back in 2011. After almost one year playing football across
The Channel, the 20-year-old has struggled to establish himself in the starting line-up.
This season, Abeid has played just two Europa League games for Newcastle United. Although the youngster is happy to see the progress he has made after training with quality players, he feels that he needs to put in a string of games in order to show people
what he is capable of.
The Franco-Algerian is no doubt having a hard time getting regular game-time which is becoming frustrating for him. Abeid says that he has already discussed this with Alan Pardew who is of the view that the young midfielder has a future at the club.
However, Abeid feels that he needs to go out for a loan spell in order to gain valuable experience before imposing himself in the Newcastle United setup.
And, the youngster has said that he aims to secure a loan spell in France in order to do so. Abeid is not really particular about Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 as he only wants to play week in week out. The midfielder has revealed that he has already been contacted
by a few clubs in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 and is hopeful of securing a move in January.
“I really need this (loan spell) for playing time all weekend and be ready to fight for a starting spot in Newcastle. Return to France would be my priority. A safe return to France will definitely tempt me. Ligue 1 or Ligue 2, it doesn’t really matter where
I’m playing. I really want to put in a string of games, play every weekend and progress.”
