Melanie Ripple and Parker Meinecke win 1 metre diving events-
High School State Championships
Melanie Ripple of Bentonville High School and Parker Meinecke of Fayetteville High School won the titles of Girls and Boys 1 metre diving respectively on last day of the Arkansas High School State Championships for Boys and Girls in Little Rock on February
25.
Ripple displayed her noteworthy efforts in the 1 metre discipline, where she accomplished a score of 349.00 points for gold medal of the event. She remained 13.90 points ahead of Erin Farrah of Fayetteville High School, who followed her on the victory stand
for silver medal by achieving a wonderful score of 335.10 points.
The second position holder remained nearly eighteen points ahead of her following diver, Logan Richardson of North Little Rock High School, who secured bronze medal of the event with an effort of 317.05 points.
The fourth spot of the event was obtained by Alise Heavrin of Bryant Hornets, who remained almost thirty-seven points away from her preceding position holder and gained 280.75 points. Rachel Ferguson obtained fifth position of the event as he secured 243.20
points. The sixth position of the event was claimed by Farrah’s team-member, Hannah Martin, who raked 235.00 points.
Subsequently, Meinecke dominated the equivalent event in Boys category. With his astounding effort in the discipline, Meinecke clinched 421.55 points and gathered gold medal of the event.
He remained nearly sixty points ahead of Bentonville High School’s Tyler Rousey, who earned second position of the event with a score of 366.95 points. Zac Craig of Arkansas Baptist High School was the third best diver of the event as he notched up 354.55
points.
The bronze medallist was chased by Jace Forrest of North Little Rock High School, who stayed nearly thirty-seven points apart and accumulated a total of 317.10 points. Alex Miller and Austin Passmore of Bentonville High School occupied fifth and sixth positions
of the event, as they gained 287.40 and 275.65 points, respectively.
In addition, the crowd appreciated commendable efforts of all divers in their respective events whereas the position holders were awarded medals and accolades for their praiseworthy efforts at the medal ceremony of the championship.
