Melbourne Cup Winning ... how is the money split?

Well the results just came through.

Probably a 4 or 5 million dollars winning for the race (biggest in Australia)

So how is the winning normally shared between the horse owner, trainer, jockey etc ?

5 million total purse.....3 million for 1st place

60% goes to the winnng owner, who then gives

10% to jockey and 10% to trainer.....

jockey and trainer both get $300,000.00
