Heat had the upper-hand from the start, and after winning the toss and choosing to bat, the team got off to a smashing start courtesy opening batsman and Player of the Match Luke Pomersbach, who guided the innings, and led with an unbeaten 112, including
2 sixes, and a staggering 15 fours.

for the second wicket, which brought the team total up to 97.

teamed up with Pomersbach for a third-wicket stand worth 41 runs, which brought the Heat up to 138 by the 17th over.

managed to post a daunting final total of 183.
The subsequent chase proved too much for the Renegades to handle, with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Alister-McDermott-c43674 (4-0-31-2), and Lynn (2-0-15-2) joining forces to knock their hosts out of the competition.

Renegades, at 168, were knocked out of the competition after falling 15 runs short, while Brisbane Heat advanced to the finals of the competition.
