An intense bowling attack, spearheaded by Clint McKay, led the Melbourne Stars to a 4-wicket victory over the Hobart Hurricanes, in their Big Bash League match, played today on December 15 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The victory saw the Stars to second
place on the tournament points table, directly below the Melbourne Renegades, while the Hurricanes are currently occupying the fifth position.
The match kicked off with the Stars electing to field first after winning the toss. Player of the Match McKay (4-0-24-3) led the charge, while http://www.senore.com/Cricket/James-Faulkner-c1643 (4-0-24-2) chipped in with supporting performances. Their combined
efforts ensured that only three of the Hurricanes’ batsmen succeeded in reaching double figures.
McKay took care of the entire top-order, starting with the early dismissals of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/TD-Paine-c2652 initially managed to apply himself at the crease long enough for a run-a-ball 46, but Faulkner

Paine finally found an able partner in skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/George-Bailey-c1480 (28), and both batsmen joined forces for a 46-run partnership for the fourth wicket. Bailey was dislodged by Cameron White in the 12th over, but Paine kept going, and his 28-run stand

(34), while White (22) was the only other batsman who passed the 20-run mark. The rest chipped in with minor contributions, and the Stars eventually completed their chase, with 4 wickets and 5 balls remaining.
