Whats the best thing about living in Melbourne? What are the best things to do?

Absolutely everything - its such a great city . Lots going on by way of concerts,art, theatre, and the Crown Casino, etc. We have the Grand Prix, The Australian Open, The Comedy Festival and the Speigeltent and many other events. Its  a shoppers mecca and lots of small hidden bars. We also have lovely gardens within minutes of the city and if you want the beach, catch a tram and go to St Kilda.

Come and try it and you won't want to leave.

It is the brightest, liveliest, spiritual place i've ever been to. The food, people, venues are great. You just have to be there to see it!

It's a very cosmopolitan city. People are diverse, making things to do around the city awesome.

The comedy festival is usually great. There are many concerts in and around the city. Musical/dance numbers in the Arts Centre and art exhibitions at the National Gallery of Victoria. Moomba Water Festival is in March, so is the L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival and the Formula One Grand Prix. Royal Melbourne Show is in September, Melbourne Cup is in November. Lots of things happen at Federation Square as well.

One of the best things is that Melbourne CBD is built like a grid - straight roads. Trams, trains and buses are also conveniently located around the city - though they are not always trusted 100% of the time.
