Melissa Reid anticipating home advantage in the ISPS Handa Ladies British Masters
Melissa Reid is very excited about the upcoming ISPS Handa Ladies British Masters. She is looking forward to exploit the home crowd advantage to the fullest.
Talking about the event and this advantage, Reid said, “It’s great playing in the UK and in front of a home crowd. Hopefully plenty of fans will come out to watch, and I will have quite a few family and friends around during the week”.
The tournament is considered an important stop on the LET calendar. The event will be held at one of the best golf courses in England, the Buckinghamshire Golf Club. The tournament will run from August 16 till 18 and will showcase the best golf talent in
women golf.
Melissa Reid has been preparing hard for the tournament. Right now, she is not playing her usual game. In the recent Evian Masters, she failed to perform and finished the event in an unbelievable 88th position.
This came right after the Raiffeisenbank Prague Golf Masters, where her emotional win made headlines.
That win remains important for Melissa Reid. Talking about it she said, “I wasn’t expecting to win in Prague, but it was obviously extremely special. I’m sure it helped that my expectations were not too high, and they are not this week either so perhaps
that will be a good thing again!”
However, now all her energies are focused on the upcoming Ladies British Masters. This is an important event and a top-10 finish would go a long way in improving her standing on both the LET rankings and the money list.
Reid has been working out her game and she is confident that she has nailed many of the weaknesses in her technique. Her long hours on the golf course could pay off if she manages to maintain her cool during the big event.
She has also played practice games on various golf courses so that she can actually use her new technique. These games will benefit her in the long run, as the practice will come in handy during the pressures of the big event.
Her fans can expect a great game from her in the Ladies British Masters.
