Melodys Express to run furiously in Romford’s Coral On TV Standard Trophy - Heat 1
In-form Melodys Express is likely to cruise to victory in the opening heat of Coral On TV Standard Trophy, being held at Romford on Monday, May 14th.
D. Mullins’ trainee is in superb form these days and there is no reason why he should not have a big run today. After a poor performance in the mid of last month, the black dog picked up the winning momentum.
He collected a lot of praise following two emphatic wins at the end of last month. After proving his mettle at Romford, he travelled to Oxford, where he displayed an equally good show.
However, the dashing hound failed to taste success in his last two appearances, because luck did not smile on him. Express Ego’s son narrowly missed the gold medal on both occasions.
In his most recent trip last week, he finished second by two and a half lengths. He is in good shape at the moment and needs just a slice of luck to bag the winning cheque worth £150.
According to the schedule, the 400 metres Flat heat will be started at 19:26 GMT. Melodys Express is going to face five quality runners including Millwards Matt, Droopys Linford, Trappers Corner, Stellars Blue and Hazels Pride.
Millwards Matt is another to consider. The black dog requires just a bit of luck to grab the winning prize. In both of his previous races, he remained unlucky, missing the crown by a whisker. So, P. Young’s trainee will have to do something different in order to finish first on the podium.
Droopys Linford needs to be brisk off the blocks. The black dog is coming back to Romford after a couple of poor efforts at Oxford. Trappers Corner’s chances will automatically go up, if he makes full use of the pinging box.
Stellars Blue needs to find a clear passage in order to fancy some chances. On the other hand, Hazels Pride looks the least likely to bag the cash prize.
The stats show that Melodys Express is most likely to notch up the top rank. Millwards Matt might be a threat though. We wish the best of luck to everyone.
