I have a niece with eczema & would like to make a soap she could use with a goats milk melt & pour base. Does anyone have a good recipe with proportion of oils to use?

  1. check out whole sale supplies plus

http://www.wholesalesuppliesplus.com they have a goats milk base melt and pour - that you can buy

  2. I'm not sure what you're talking about. The only soap I've ever known of that you could "melt & pour" is vegetable glycerin base, not goat's milk.

Here is a site with recipes for goat milk soap: http://candleandsoap.about.com/od/tipstr...

These essential oils are used to treat eczema: benzoin, bergamot, Roman chamomile, geranium, juniper, lavender, palmarosa & sandalwood.

If you make a soap for her, avoid lanolin, COCONUT oil & coal tar. Advise her to catch rain water to use in bathing & shampooing.

You didn't ask, but Evening Primrose oil (2 capsules 2x daily for children & 2x as much for adults) has a good success rate in reducing eczema. In children especially, Zinc deficiency is indicated.
