Membrane sweep... did it bring on labour for u ?

i had a membrane sweep yesterday and i'm going in on monday to be induced do u reckon my chances are high of going into labour b4 i'm to be in duced on monday?

41weeks +3days.... so anxious now!

i had a sweep at 40+3, then i had annother at 40+6, i was scheduled for the third at 40+9, then induction at 40+12.

i went into labour 12hrs after my 2nd sweep.

YES, but it took a couple of days - get walking, have s*x, nipple stimulation, etc.... to encourage it though!

2nd sweep is good idea as is the gel before you allow them to induce, unless there is an emergency and they must. As long as baby is okay and there is enough amniotic fluid, do not induce if you can help it!

Chances are good.  It worked with my 1st pregnancy, I was admitted approx 36 hours after they did this to me.

It didn't work for me I still had to be induced. Best of luck and congrats

The membrane sweep didn't work for me.  I wound up being admitted 10 days after my due date for an induction.  The induction didn't work for me either and I wound up having a c-section.  I wish you the best of luck and lots of happiness with your new bundle of joy! :-)
