i sold my old DSLR and with it i am including a memory card. is there any way the buyer can recover pictures from that card and if so is there anything i can do yo preeminently erase them.

  1. not really, if you format it ,it breaks up the info. they would have to be awsome at data recovery,and file restoration

Actually the news is the buyer can recover pictures from that card by simply inserting memory card into computer slot, just like that lots of pictures will show up and they can be saved or printed wherever he wants. they only way to permanently erase pics is by formating memory card and then taking more pictures so they will take over the space left in there. the idea is to store information on the memory card with uninportant data.

  3. What you do, is put it into your computer (either directly, or thru your camera), right-click it from "My Computer", then find the thing that says "Format...". Click OK to everything.

    After you've done that, the only thing that they could recover (the only way would be if they were the BEST hacker in the world....prolly not tho.) would be like a pixel.

    So, to answer your question, FORMAT IT, then sell it, and they can NOT recover it.

  4. Format, take random pics and fill the card completely
