I had recorded some videos off of my Canon Digital Camera with a Sandisk 512mb memory card and I put them on my computer and saved them but, i deleted them because i didnt want them anymore and it is hard for me to get them back. I recorded the videos last year.I am using Windows XP and I even put them in my Public Downloads folder in My Documents and played them on my Windows Media Player 11.

Is there anyway I can recover the back?

  1. You said that you had saved the videos last year, but when did you delete them? Did you delete them last year or has there been a long time span since you deleted them?

If the videos were deleted recently there might be a chance that you could recover them, but very unlikely, especially if you deleted them a long time back.

You can try restoring your videos by downloading this application:http://www.snapfiles.com/get/restoration...

It is called Restoration and helps you recover deleted files and folders. Just select the destination drive where your files were located and it will search if they are any recoverable videos. Also, try doing this: Keep your camera or card connected to your computer. Then, start the program Restoration, and see if in the drop down box it has the option for that camera's drive letter. If it has, select it and then search.

Also, if you don't remember the name or if there were many files, search for: *.mpg" . Here you must replace the .mpg with the file type your camera saves. If you don't know, that in which format it saves, just record a video and check out the file later on the computer and see what file type it is. Other common types are .avi, .mov, .wmv, etc

    Hope your problem gets solved.
